Fitness for Work Policy

JDA is committed to quality working environments where employees are safe from hazards arising due to fatigue or the use and abuse of alcohol or drugs.

An essential part of JDA’s interview process is the warning to employees of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse in the workplace.

All JDA employees are required to report for work in a fit and proper state to enable them to perform their duties in a safe and efficient manner. Working under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited.  After a positive drug or alcohol screening test no JDA employee will be allowed to return to a workplace until a negative test is achieved.

Prior to mobilisation to site, if required by clients, site consent forms for random drug and alcohol testing will be signed and agreed to by all employees.

JDA will take all reasonable steps to ensure workplace conditions do not create an unacceptable risk of fatigue for employees placed on assignment. 

Shifts that exceed 12 hours work will be avoided wherever possible.
